How long do you play for?

Our booking includes 3 hours of music, within a 4 hour “call time”. Standard sets go anywhere from 45-60 minutes, but we prefer playing for upwards of 75-90 minutes to keep the dance floor busy! We love to keep the party going without interruption!

After the set is complete, we take a 20-30 minute break with pre-recorded music playing for those on the dance floor. This will provide time for your guests to grab another drink, and mingle with their friends and family.

If you have any requests as far as timing for the sets, please let us know. Your guests will appreciate a well planned and executed evening.

We have an extensive playlist, from classics to current hits, guaranteed to get your guests dancing.

We reallllyyy want to hear this song, will you learn it?

We are always up for adding new music to our collection. Let us know what you are looking for and we will do our best to add it to the evening!

For your first and second dance, we will learn any music you select. Please ensure your selections have been made 8 weeks prior to the event.

What size band should we use?

One Nite Band delivers some serious party with our 5 piece group.

If you are looking to add some extra sizzle to the evening we can add a horn section ( 1, 2 or 3 piece).

How much time to you need to set up?

It takes about 2.5-3 hours for us to get everything in, set up and do our sound check. Our preference is getting to the venue at noon, and set up way in advance of the guests arriving for an event. We will work this out with you and the venue in advance.

u

What is production?

It is the technical term for sound and lighting. Our production package includes everything we need to put on an outstanding show. Sound requirements are event and venue specific. We look to scale our sound production requirements to the size of the room. We will work with you and your event planner to ensure that the sound production meets the needs for the entire evening.

Lighting can elevate the show. It is amazing what a little lighting can add to the overall mood of the room. While we include basic lighting in our packages, we have access to dramatic lighting that can take your event to the next level.

Let us know if you are interested in the Much-Mo-Betta lighting package, we can prepare a customized show that will amaze your guests!

What happens between sets?

Don’t worry – even though we are taking a quick break between sets, we will have the music pumping via iPad through our sound system. We provide the playlist and iPod. This is also a good time to fill the gap with a light snack, speech, bouquet, garter toss or just another drink and catching up with your guests.

u

Can we use your microphone for our speeches?

Of course you can! Our preference is that we have our sound technician be on hand through dinner and speeches to manage the noise, ensure music is faded in and out of dining and that the mic is working/ loud enough, etc.

Do we need to feed the band?

Yes, please! We do require a bit of sustenance to keep our energy high through the evening. We have a modest rider of sandwiches, veggies and assorted beverages (water, soft drinks, beer, wine) that we like to have replenished between sets.

u

Should we hire a DJ too?

Some people like to have a combination of band and a DJ. It’s not necessary, as One Nite Band has your music covered with a variety of music, from the classics through current top 40 hits!

How much power do you need?

Our preference is to use a 50 amp circuit which is found in most venues. This allows us to have full confidence that we won’t have any unpleasant interruptions!

Alternatively, we like to have access to 3-4 independent 15 amp household plug ins.
